Increasing concerns relating to the impact
of greenhouse gases combined with fears over long term energy
supplies have led to significant price increases in all sources
of energy. It is inevitable that all governments, business and
individuals must do more to protect the environment.
The British Government’s 2003 Energy White Paper set out
an aspiration for the UK to reduce carbon emissions by 60% and
create a low carbon economy by 2050. With SRS technology we
are able to reduce energy costs for customers and also help
towards achieving reduced emissions, which are harmful to our
environment.
Stingray’s patented technology means not only reduced energy
costs for our customer but, using the SRS luminaries, also results
in environmental benefits from measurable reductions in:
greenhouse gas causing carbon dioxide - 1.50 pounds per kW/h
acid rain causing sulphur dioxide - 1.92 grams per kW/h
ozone depleting nitric oxide 1.62 grams per kW/h

for Clean Air Progress. This award is sponsored by the Air
Quality Management District (AQMD) for Orange County and the
urban portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Barnardino
